Bloomfield NJ is an exciting town that is in transition. Major development projects and revitalization is happening particularly in the South end of town by the Bloomfield and Watsessing train stations. Bloomfield is an incredibly diverse community with one of the shortest commutes into the city of all the towns we serve. Bloomfield NJ is a wonderful alternative to Montclair if you have a lower price point and want lower taxes!
The commute into the city couldn’t be easier. Bloomfield and Watsessing are the two train stations in Bloomfield on the NJ Transit Montclair-Boonton line. You can be in the city in 28 minutes(even during non-commuter times). The bus is also an option for commuters. Check out the DeCamp website for information and schedules http://www.decamp.com/schedules_routes.asp. Bloomfield is situated right along the Garden Sate Parkway and has easy access to Route 3 and 280.

Berkeley has a low rating because of the diversity of the student population. Both of my kids are A+ students. Because of Dr. Carr, Berkeley is a much better school then when my son started 7+ years ago. I have no complaints with BMS and my son is almost finished with the 7th grade” ~Angelina Budhu(parent)

My daughter is 15 and attended Watsessing, Bloomfield Middle School, and is now a freshman at the high school. She has done quite well at all 3 schools and is an honor roll student. My son is in the first grade at Watsessing school and is also doing well”. ~Melissa C. Peterson(parent):
http://bridges.bloomfield.k12.nj.us/pages/Bridges_Academy The Bridges Academy at Forest Glen is an annex of Bloomfield High School which serves as alternate placement for approximately 40 students. The mission of Bridges Academy at Forest Glen School is to meet the diverse educational, social, and emotional needs of students in grades 9 through 12. The program seeks to create an educational community in which students have the opportunity to achieve success in school. “I have a 24 year old that went only to the high school. He was in the NHS and did very well. Graduated in 2007. He went onto Penn State. My daughter graduated in 2010 and is ready to graduate from Rutgers with a degree in linguistics and heading right to grad school. The high school has quite a bit to offer. I also have a 7 year old in Brookdale. It’s a wonderful school with great teachers. Our principal is fantastic….honestly love everything about it. Finally, I have a 5 year old in the pre-k program at Watsessing. He’s been in it 3 years now. Can’t really say if Watsessing is a good school or not but the pre-k special Ed has been great for my son. I’ve had no problems getting information, getting feedback from teachers, etc. I think I’ve covered a lot of ground in my 10 years in Bloomfield”! ~Tina Di Stefano Gallina(parent)
