We remember being in your shoes six years ago – stepping onto this property for the first time and immediately sensing something special. Our daughter was instantly drawn to the butterfly bush in the front yard, and we were captivated by the towering pine and magnolia trees and the calming scent of lavender along the walkway. From the moment we walked in, we felt grounded by the home’s solid structure, beautiful chestnut trim, and inviting, open layout. Friends and neighbors often say this house has a uniquely warm and welcoming feel – commenting that they’ve never been in another quite like it.
We purchased this home just before the pandemic, and during those uncertain times, it became our haven. With three full floors plus a tall, stand-up basement, the house adapted to our evolving needs. What began as an attic office became a nursery, and eventually transformed into the pre-teen retreat it is today. We always imagined converting the dormer space into a cozy ensuite for ourselves someday. The covered patio and spacious backyard became our go-to spot for birthday parties, weekend BBQs, and everyday moments that turned into cherished memories.
Living in Maplewood has been an absolute joy. It’s a community full of kind, creative, and supportive neighbors who truly look out for one another. Over the years, it’s been home to teachers, artists, musicians, and gardeners. Stewarding this home has been one of the great privileges of our lives. As we prepare to move out of state, we leave behind not just a house, but a piece of our hearts.
