58 Crest Drive
58 Crest Drive is not just renovated. It is reimagined.
This is a home where every era has been honored and every detail elevated. Over the past seven years, 58 Crest has undergone a thoughtful, top-to-bottom transformation—one that blends architectural integrity with modern luxury and absolute peace of mind.
In 2024, the home was fully restored by acclaimed design/build firm, chambersdesign, led by designer Neil Chambers of South Orange. Neil and the homeowners closely collaborated, focusing on bringing traditional elements back into the space while balancing with modern flow and sensibilities. Neil’s deep expertise in exterior spaces kept the project focused on bringing the outside in, with views as center stage. The homeowners brought in Ashlee Anthony Design to curate the interiors, using their love for vintage furniture and art as the inspiration. White oak herringbone floors with radiant heat now flow through the first floor and second-floor office. A custom limestone fireplace by Francois & Co anchors the living room, framed by arched doorways, a bespoke steel-and-wood banister, and dramatic Japanese Shou Sugi Ban beams and entry paneling. Every room was repainted, every light fixture curated, and the third floor reimagined into a true guest suite and recreation retreat.
In 2023, every original casement window was restored on site by Seekircher Steel Windows—the firm trusted with Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater. Each window was hand-crafted back to life, preserving the soul of the home while ensuring modern performance.
Behind the beauty is substance: new HVAC systems, a new pool heater, roof repairs to extend longevity, upgraded electrical, renovated baths, fresh exterior paint, and years of extensive landscaping that frame the home and grounds. From the restored front walk to the private pool terrace and newly fenced patio, the exterior spaces are as intentional as the interiors.
This is what it looks like when a home is loved well.
58 Crest Drive offers something rare: historic character, designer vision, and modern infrastructure—woven together with care, craftsmanship, and continuity. It is not simply move-in ready. It is legacy ready.
Dear Future Homeowner,
When we first walked into this home nine years ago, we felt something we couldn’t quite explain — a sense of calm and belonging that made us believe we had found our forever place. We were drawn in by the beautiful property, the sweeping views of the New York City skyline, and the way the home seemed perfectly suited for both family life and welcoming others in.
What we came to love most, though, were the everyday moments. Mornings often begin with a quiet sunrise, coffee in hand, as the light fills the house and the city slowly wakes in the distance. Sun-filled Summer afternoons were enjoyed relaxing by the pool watching hawks and eagles fly overhead while listening to the laughter of our children. Even the simplest routines feel special here. At the end of the day, the glittering skyline becomes a backdrop for family dinners, conversations, and winding down together — a reminder of how lucky we are to call this place home.
This house has been a gentle, grounding space for our family. As a young family with two little ones, we imagined raising our children here, and it has been exactly that — a soft place for them to grow, learn, and feel safe. It has held countless memories: holidays, birthdays, diving competitions in the pool and quiet evenings that mattered just as much as the big celebrations.
The home itself captured our hearts from the start. Built in 1932, its historic charm and craftsmanship are truly rare — the beautiful windows that cannot be replicated today, the floors, the beveled woodwork, and the thoughtful interior details throughout. We poured our heart and soul into the restoration of the home, no detail was overlooked. At the same time, the layout flows effortlessly, blending classic character with modern comfort and making it easy to live in and share with others.
Just as special as the home is the neighborhood surrounding it. Over the years, we’ve watched the entire block evolve into a close-knit, family-friendly community. From epic Halloween celebrations to simple moments like neighbors waving hello, stopping to chat, or watching children play together, there is a genuine sense of connection here. The families on this street are truly something special, and the kindness and warmth of our neighbors have meant so much to us.
Leaving this home was never part of our plan, and it hasn’t been an easy decision to relocate to another state. We are deeply grateful for the life we’ve lived here and for everything this house and community have given our family over the past nine years.
Our hope is that you feel the same sense of peace, joy, and belonging here — that you start your mornings with the sunrise and end your days with city lights, creating your own traditions and memories in a place that truly feels like home.
With warm wishes,
