Since I was a young boy, I’ve always loved the scene from the Charlie Brown cartoon special, where he purchases an unwanted little Christmas tree. With some swaddling and TLC, his friends were able to show him “it’s not such a bad tree after all, Charlie Brown…”

That scene reminds me of 81 Burnett Avenue. When I bought it, this house was run down and unwanted, and had numerous signs of struggle and neglect.
