We take this opportunity to humbly welcome you home. This loving and gracious home has blessed us with new life, new friends and new beginnings as we found this sweet home during our indomitable journey of relocating from Texas to the New York area in the middle of the pandemic. After a long and weary journey of searching for homes, we stepped inside this home and within minutes I knew we were finally home. This is so much more than a house; it is a guardian, a refuge, a sanctuary, and we have been so fortunate to call this home our home. As just the 3rd owners of 445, we have amassed so many amazing memories here in such a short time. We welcomed another little boy into the brood (a complete surprise and absolute miracle), spent countless weekends lounging and basking in the serenity and sunshine of the living room and sunroom, toasted to life and love with family and friends in the dining room, hosted multiple game and movie nights in the basement, and so much more. And there’s so much we love about living here that spans outside these walls. There is an extraordinary community of - without a doubt - the best backyard neighbors ever assembled! They will keep your spare keys, your kids, your fur babies, turn off your stove, turn on your porch lights, collect mail while your away, or literally whatever you need, our neighbors are enthusiastically willing to provide. We have spent countless hours at each others’ homes for birthday celebrations, BBQs, Halloween parties, marshmallow roasts, indoor and outdoor movie nights, camp-outs, splash parties and just enjoying each others’ company on a random Friday night over pizza, beer and wine. Our kids immediately had over a dozen new friends within a week of moving in, which was absolutely amazing and relieving after relocating here from Texas. In fact, to this day, they immediately arrive home from school, drop all their belongings and bolt out the door, and they won’t return home until we wrangle them in for dinner - which is a special phenomenon that I haven’t seen in many years. With such easy access to downtown, we religiously gather the boys and head into town for live music during the summer concert series, enjoy snow cones at Coldstone, scarf down pizza at Bunny’s or juicy burgers at BGR, or hop on the train for a quick trip into the city. We could have never imagined to be blessed to expand our family beyond the capacity of this extraordinary home, but life is full of unexpected and marvelous twists and turns, and we will revel in every moment we have spent in this wondrous abode. We hope you can find as much joy living here in this home and neighborhood as we have.
