We stepped inside and immediately felt embraced by the warmth and positive energy of the home. Like many other families in Maplewood, we were transplants from the city looking for more space and a community to raise our 5 children ranging in age from 10 years to 6 months. Now 18 years have passed and as I sit here and reflect on what this home has meant to us, I am overwhelmed by all the memories. This home has been the gathering point for our family, friends, our children’s friends, and neighbors; somehow always expanding to allow room for everyone.

It offers 4 full floors of living space with an easy flow from room to room; allowing for large gatherings or different groups of kids’ friends to break off in separate spaces – be it the basement for movie nights or the garage for band practice. Another favorite part of the home is the amazing outdoor deck which creates additional living and dining space from April – October. Hanging on the deck at the end of the day surrounded by beautiful old trees has been a daily blessing.
Our street has a tremendous sense of community and has felt more like an extended family. When we moved here we were told this was the best block in Maplewood and I can now say that it is 100% true. At the end of the street is Maplecrest Park with a playground, skate park, and library. We are a hop, skip, and a jump away from 3 elementary schools (Tuscan, Clinton, and Seth Boyden), Maplewood Middle School, and Columbia High school as well as the Maplewood Community Pool. Town is a mere 20 min walk away with an amazing selection of restaurants as is Artie’s and Perla in the Hilton neighborhood. This is truly the absolute best location in all of Maplewood.
